Qiao Zhibing is a well-known collector of international contemporary art, a founding patron of Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing and the Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai, as well as patron of several international art organizations, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London. He began collecting Chinese contemporary art in late 2006 and expanded his scope to international works of art in 2009.
Qiao is most interested in contemporary art that relates to personal experience, but his collection is informative and comprehensive, including all media: painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and so on. Housed in his club in Shanghai, Qiao’s collection has been visited by many domestic and foreign art lovers and has become a Shanghai landmark. Meanwhile, he spares no effort to support young artists, and devotes a lot of his time to the future development of art.
In 2011, Qiao was named one of the Top Five Private Collectors of the Year by the AAC (Award of Art China). In 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, he was listed by ARTnews among the Top 200 Collectors of the Year, and among the 2014 Power 100 by the US magazine Art & Auction.

2011年，乔志兵荣获第六届 AAC艺术中国· 年度影响力评选之五大公民收藏家。
2013年、2014年、2015年连续荣登《ARTnews》 年度全球顶级艺术品收藏家 200人榜单。
2014年，入选美国权威艺术杂志及拍卖界杂志《Art+Auction》的“POWER 100”艺术权利百强榜，是国际艺术界100位最具影响力人士之一。
